Join the HWI Coaching Team: Seeking Certified Hockey Coaches

Are you a certified hockey coach in Saskatchewan? HW is looking for dedicated individuals who are passionate about coaching and are able to meet the required Hockey Saskatchewan Coaching Certifications at the applicable level. Our coaches play a crucial role in the development and success of our athletes, demonstrating a strong commitment to their physical and mental well-being. We value coaches who possess excellent interpersonal skills, integrity, and honesty in their interactions with players, teams, and organizations.

Applications from both parent and independent coaches are welcome, with a preference for independent coaches at the AA level. Compensation for non parent coaches will be considered.

As an HW coach, you will work closely with the HW Board of Directors, Division Director, Admin and Ice scheduler to maintain age-appropriate development programs for players. You will also assist with evaluations, create season plans, and develop off-ice training programs focusing on nutrition, mental health, dryland training, and ongoing skill development.

Coaches are expected to attend HW Coaches meetings, be a liaison with other AA coaches, and contribute to the long-term program development of the association.

If you are interested in joining our coaching team, please complete the Coach Application Form on the HW website. Successful applicants will undergo a Criminal Record check and Vulnerable Sector Check. Submit your expression of interest by March 23rd, 2025, and only those being considered for the position will be contacted for an interview. We look forward to welcoming enthusiastic and motivated individuals to our coaching staff!
